Product (re)design

As the cryptocurrencies market was booming in 2017., first Croatian crypto exchange needed improvements in order to stay relevant on the emerging crypto market. First, we started with rethinking the product design and UX and introduced a lot of UX/UI improvements. The whole design was reworked and improvements like market depth chart, better charting and color schemes were introduced to make BitKonan more user-friendly and attractive.

More user interaction

Features like chat room, news feed and integrated Twitter feed started generating content and more user interaction on the platform. These features played an important role in making the platform look more stable and safe for investing.

Ethereum trading

Bitcoin and Litecoin were the first two crypto currencies to be traded on BitKonan. In 2015., Ethereum was founded - adecentralized, open-source blockchain platform with smart-contract functionality. It soon became the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization and it was crucial to offer Ethereum trading on BitKonan. Blank worked on setting up an Ethereum node, managing deposits and withdrawals from the exchange and handling the ETH/USD trading pair order book and all the transactions between users.

Easy FIAT deposits and withdrawals

As the platform grew, more and more users were depositing and withdrawing US dollars to and from the exchange. All of them were processed manually by the BitKonan accounting team but soon it became a bottleneck and slowed down all deposits and withdrawals. In order to keep users satisfied and to speed the deposits and withdrawals up, we implemented some new back-office tools like bank statement parsers and SEPA XML generators.
